Claim: Beck's memoir describes prior large tracks, a group of miners, and a nighttime attack by what he calls hairy apes; the opening physical narrative is separable from the later metaphysical interpretation developed in the memoir.
Written roughly 43 years after the event. Contemporaneous 1924 newspaper accounts remain the controlling target for earliest wording, and Beck's later metaphysical framework must not be back-projected into 1924.

BFRO Report 1091 — Albert Ostman account · 1957 account / later BFRO reproduction
Locator: OBSERVED narrative plus John Green follow-up paragraphs discussing the written account and sworn accuracy
Claim: Ostman describes a family of four subjects during a multi-day captivity narrative. John Green's follow-up says Ostman wrote the account before Green met him and later would swear only to the main elements rather than every surrounding detail.
The event was first publicly documented more than 30 years after the claimed encounter and has no captivity co-witness. Detailed surrounding narrative should not be weighted the same as the main elements Ostman said he could swear to.
