Coastal forest hike
The hike’s exact date, year and site have not been verified. No encounter date is inferred from the later October 2026 episode publication.
During a family hike in a coastal Oregon forest, Katrina reports knocking sounds, tree movement, an unfamiliar odor, and a partly obscured dark shape. Her identity is published by first name only, and no independent species identification or physical evidence has been verified.
In her recorded interview, Katrina describes hiking with two of her children to a remote forest clearing. She recalls hearing repeated knocking sounds that appeared to come from different directions. She considered natural and human sources without identifying their origin. She then described a nearby tree moving, a damp or mossy odor, and concern about exiting the area.
Later in the same segment, Katrina describes a brief view of a large, dark shape partly screened by vegetation. She did not report a clear face or a full unobstructed figure. Her interpretation of the experience as extraordinary is testimony—not a verified explanation for the sounds, odor, movement or shape.
Source preservation and a Developing Witness classification document an attributable first-person report. They do not establish a Sasquatch, independently observed communication, an unknown animal, or external corroboration.

Katrina’s full identity is not established for public release, so this profile uses only the first name given by the publisher. The location remains intentionally broad. The children’s independent statements, alleged local shop scrapbook/video, and any contemporaneous emergency-call record are not available for independent examination. Katrina states her phone lacked service, so no completed 911 call is asserted.
Environmental sounds, moving vegetation, odor and an obscured shape admit ordinary explanations that have not been excluded by the available source. No independent case-level certification, biological identification, evidence specimen or species conclusion follows from this account.
The sensory record retains auditory, olfactory and partial visual observations separately; it is not treated as a full visual morphology measurement.
