Interpretations and alternatives
Reported interpretation: Witness and investigator used a Sasquatch interpretation. BFRO classifies the report as Class A, but the classification is a publisher assessment of potential misidentification, not independently established species identification.
Conventional alternatives and missing evidence: The event is reported after decades, its exact roadside position is unavailable, and no photograph, biological sample or independent statement by the companion was recovered. Later interview additions must be attributed to the investigator recollection.
Co-witness assessment: A traveling companion is reported to have witnessed movement but no independently reviewed separate co-witness interview exists.
