Reported roadside event
Woolheater dates his reported experience to Memorial Day 1994; the event is not independently dated by a contemporaneous record recovered here.
A reported brief nighttime roadside observation in central Louisiana on May 30, 1994. Craig Woolheater described the experience in his own public 2014 report; the reported identity of the figure remains unverified.
In his own published retrospective account, Woolheater reports driving with his then-girlfriend on an unlit two-lane road in Louisiana. He describes headlights briefly illuminating a tall, gray-haired, upright figure to the side of the road as the vehicle passed. He says both occupants reacted, but their separate independent accounts have not been recovered.
The figure's approximate height, appearance, and identity are estimations and interpretations by the reporting witness, not independently established properties. The sighting was brief and occurred at night from a moving vehicle. A third passenger was reportedly asleep during the event.
This profile documents the primary witness's statement and its publication history. It does not demonstrate the existence of Sasquatch, authenticate an animal identification or establish an independent second witness.

The earliest source verified for this release is Woolheater's detailed firsthand Cryptomundo account. It is a later retrospective description, not an original 1994 document.
Bigfoot Crossroads published an interview with Woolheater under Episode 236; the episode description mentions the historical encounter without proving a new or different 1994 event.

Key first-person locators in the 2014 report are the DATE/STATE/PARISH/NEAREST TOWN, OBSERVED, DESCRIPTION and TIME AND CONDITIONS fields. The October 2026 episode does not provide a claim-level transcript locator verified for this release. Its publication date is not an encounter date.
The reported second observer's own account was not recovered; no original photograph, trace or independent physical record was verified. The earliest verified firsthand publication is from 2014, roughly twenty years after the described event.
A 2016 anniversary blog post labels May 30, 2016 the 21st anniversary of a May 1994 event, although 22 calendar years had passed. This is a source-date discrepancy to preserve, not proof of a separate encounter or deliberate fabrication.
The later 2026 audio interview is preserved as a distinct media source, not additional independent witnesses or proof of a second Louisiana event.
